Started a 10 week course to learn how to paint with oils. We started off with pastels, next week there should be more...oh we also have homework - self portraits using a mirror...have to get started on those!

Voila, here are my best sketches of last night - all of them are 8 minute poses. Great model! We had a long 20 minute pose which I really messed up.
I saw a flyer with a life-drawing marathon in February I might do that and get up to speed with life drawing again...I'm so stiff! :-)

Life Drawing

OK, so I've been really ill lately, flu, chest-infection, coughing, congested sinuses, aches and pains, you name it...the good side to this is that I'm now that I'm bed-bound and now I have the chance to sort through some drawings and give this blog attention!! Most of these are last year's life drawings. I had fun with these in particular because it had been so long since I had gone to a class.....and there was no teacher breathing down my neck telling us to do those "blind-drawings" (yes, I know it's good for us!!) Also have to give credit to the female model, she was absolute brilliant! More to come....stick around!!
